The Chinese Embassy
and Consulates authenticate documents which are executed in the United
States and will be used in China.
Type of documents
include:
- Birth/death certificates
- Power of attorney
- Marriage certificates
- Diplomas
- Adoption application papers
- Business license, etc.
Please note: you may only
authenticate documents at the Consulate in Chicago if you are within
the consular jurisdiction: Colorado, Illinois,
Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin
documents may be notarized through our office. If you have documents

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Prior to
notarization by the consulate, your document must be:
1. Signed before a notary public.
2. Certified
by the clerk of Court of the County in which the document is
commissioned if applicable.
It may be omitted if the authority in item 3 will
certify directly to the notary.
3. Certified by the Secretary of the State in which the document is
executed.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Prior to
authentication by the consulate, your application must include:
1. One Authentication Application Form (G1). (Download here)
2. The documents to be authenticated and a photocopy of the paper where
the notary public and certification officer signed and stamped the
document.
3. A
photocopy of the applicant's passport or driver's license. For business
authentication, a copy of the company's legal person's passport or
driver's license and a copy of the company's business license are also
needed.

We submit all applications to the Chinese Consulate
before 12:00 p.m. every day. Any application that arrives after
11:00 a.m. will be processed on the following business day.
Application for Same Day Service should arrive at our office by 9:30
a.m. for special processing. Please use FedEx

Overnight delivery or UPS Early Morning delivery if you request a Same Day Service.

**USCCC can ship
an applicant’s visa using their shipping account (FedEx, UPS, or DHL).
If the applicant does not have a shipping account, we charge the actual
shipping fee to cover the shipping cost through our FedEx account.
