DISPOSAL MEDICAL SUPPLY DIRECT BUYING FROM CHINA
U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce will help the general public to purchase medical supplies from China directly
to cut out the red tags in supply chain and to reduce excessive pricing.
As our country is running short of disposal medical supplies including some of the low value-added products such as surgical masks, disposal gloves etc., there has been frenzy buying which leads to price gouging. An auction website in Texas recently sold bottles of Purell for over $40 and a box of 16 masks went for $170 At the same time, every day, I receive at least 20 inquiries from China asking us to help to locate buyers for many of those same items that were auctioned at exuberant prices. The coronavirus has created almost overnight, hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of global traders.
The rush to convert every factory to making disposal medical supplies has enabled China to make, reportedly but unconfirmed, over 750 million face masks a day, and this had led to many factories that are set up in 2020 specifically for that purpose to scramble to find buyers to survive. When some factories, better known, connected, established are working in high gear to meet demand, other are struggling and closing some of their production lines.
There is no doubt that tthere is high demand in most categories, but on the other hand, there are a lot of supplies are sitting in the warehouse. An imperfect supply chain management might have caused a bottleneck in getting the desperately needed supplies to those that are on the front line or in high risk and led to frenzy buying and price gouging. Worse, many of these products are substandard and could be harmful to the user As a non-profit organization that has helped many companies in sourcing products through its extensive network, US-China Chamber of Commerce is launching a new platform which is simple, transparent, and cut through all the red tapes to address this issue as follows:
USCCC will work with several trusted third parties to locate reliable suppliers, perform the quality control and ship products via air (FedEx, UPS, or DHL) directly to those who need that. It is anticipated the turnaround time will be between 6 and 7 days.
The price will be based on the current factory prices from reliable sources in China.
The quantity will be subject to a minimum and a maximum per order to justify the cost of express shipping from China, secure shipping space and cut through the cumbersome paperwork for shipping large quantity.
The idea is for family members or friends to form a small buying group to obtain the supplies with certain quality, within a reasonable price range, and time frame.
The process is as follows:
We will post on our website: a list of disposable items with the price including shipping cost to the US.
Each buyer/buying group can download the form, fill it in, and email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once when the order is received, we will inform and send the money to our partners in China. They will pack and ship the items out within 48 hours. The tracking information will be sent to you.
Please note that this is a new platform, and the process will be refined. We hope that this model will bridge the gap between supply and demand. We have limited resources, but we have one of the largest networks, and most important, we continue to innovate with passion.
If you are looking for large quantit, please contact me directly at or 312-813-1318 (temporary).
Together we will win the war against the pandemic. We will get stronger, better, and more united.
