Changes in India Visa Processing – Urgent
Effective July 24, 2017, the Indian Consulate will return all passports and visas back to the visa applicants directly. Third parties will no longer pick up completed visas from the Indian Consulate.
There are several important changes:
-
The Indian Consulate will ship the passport directly back to the address that is listed on the proof of address (driver’s license or utility bill) and the application form. Please make sure the addresses on your application form and your driver’s license/utility bill match and are VALID and that you can receive packages at that address.
-
To receive tracking information for your return shipment, please make sure that your email address is completed correctly on the application form.
-
Consular fees will increase by $15.00 to cover the cost of return shipping of the passport.
At this time, we are unsure if the tracking number for the packages will be given to us. We will send another update when additional information becomes available.
Please contact our office if you have any questions.
Please review our FAQs section for information on completing the India visa application form and for a list of common mistakes made when completing the form.
We advise anyone who is trying to apply for an Indian visa to please contact us before sending any documents so that we may review your application materials with you before submission.
