Users of the www.usccc.org website commit to respect the following Terms and Conditions.

In these terms of service, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’, and ‘USCCC’ refers to the United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce, also known as the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce. ‘USCCC.ORG’ and ‘our website’ refers to the website operated by the United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce.

‘You’ ‘User’ and ‘Users’ refers to individuals and organizations who use USCCC.ORG, including those who create an account on USCCC.ORG.

‘Members’ refers to any individual and entities who have subscribed to services of the United States-China Chamber of Commerce. (See membership pages for more details)

Website owner, the offering, and binding of Terms

USCCC.ORG is owned and operated by the United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce (USCCC).  These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use USCCC.ORG and services as offered by us. USCCC.ORG offers visitors information regarding trade, finance, travel, visas, document authentication and much more. Through our member pages and forum, we also give sponsors, members, and the general public an opportunity to network and grow relationships. By accessing or using our website, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

User requirements and account sign up.

In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you must be at least 18 years of age, or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use USCCC.ORG and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you.

If you fit the above requirements, you are welcome to create an account on our website.  Comments and posts should be in harmony with our “Forum posting policy” (see below). Individuals and entities that register on our website and have also have a purchased membership with the United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce (Members) may also be granted access to members only pages.

Service and membership charges

All services and membership options that are offered on our website need to be confirmed and finalized by contacting our offices directly.

The prices we charge for using our services are listed on our website. We reserve the right to change our prices for services displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. Additional information about pricing and sales tax is available by contacting our offices.

Return and refund policy

We do not offer a return or refund policy for our services.

Retention of right to change offering

We may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

Ownership of intellectual property, copyrights and logos

The Service and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of USCCC. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights, and you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit or create derivative works thereof.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold USCCC harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of USCCC.ORG or any of the services offered on USCCC.ORG.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall USCCC, be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, USCCC assumes no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our service; and (iii) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

Preference of law and dispute resolution

These Terms, the rights and remedies provided hereunder, and any and all claims and disputes related hereto and/or to the services, shall be governed by, construed under and enforced in all respects solely and exclusively in accordance with the internal substantive laws of Illinois, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any and all such claims and disputes shall be brought in, and you hereby consent to them being decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in Chicago. The application of the United Nations Convention of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is hereby expressly excluded.

Hyperlinking to our Content

1. The following organizations may link to our Website without prior written approval:

  • Government agencies;

  • Search engines;

  • News organizations;

  • Online directory distributors may link to our Website in the same manner as they hyperlink to the Websites of other listed businesses; and

  • System wide Accredited Businesses except soliciting non-profit organizations, charity shopping malls, and charity fundraising groups which may not hyperlink to our Web site.

Organizations listed above may link to our home page, to publications or to other Website information so long as the link: (a) is not in any way deceptive; (b) does not falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement or approval of the linking party and its products and/or services; and (c) fits within the context of the linking party’s site.

2. We may consider and approve other link requests from the following types of organizations:

  • commonly-known consumer and/or business information sources;

  • dot.com community sites;

  • associations or other groups representing charities;

  • online directory distributors;

  • internet portals;

  • accounting, law and consulting firms; and

  • educational institutions and trade associations.

We will approve link requests from these organizations if we decide that: (a) the link would not make us look unfavorably to ourselves or to our accredited businesses; (b) the organization does not have any negative records with us; (c) the benefit to us from the visibility of the hyperlink compensates the absence of United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce; and (d) the link is in the context of general resource information.

These organizations may link to our home page so long as the link: (a) is not in any way deceptive; (b) does not falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement or approval of the linking party and its products or services; and (c) fits within the context of the linking party’s site.

If you are one of the organizations listed in paragraph 2 above and are interested in linking to our website, you must inform us by sending an e-mail to info@usccc.org. Please include your name, your organization name, contact information as well as the URL of your site, a list of any URLs from which you intend to link to our Website, and a list of the URLs on our site to which you would like to link. Wait 2-3 weeks for a response.

Approved organizations may hyperlink to our Website as follows:

  • By use of our full name; or

  • By use of the uniform resource locator being linked to; or

  • By use of any other description of our Website being linked to that makes sense within the context and format of content on the linking party’s site.

No use of United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce's logo or other artwork will be allowed for linking absent a trademark license agreement.

Without prior approval and written permission, you may not create frames around our Webpages that alter in any way the visual presentation or appearance of our Website.

Content Liability

We shall not be held responsible for any content that appears on your Website. You agree to protect and defend us against all claims that is rising on your Website. No link(s) should appear on any Website that may be interpreted as libelous, obscene or criminal, or which infringes, otherwise violates, or advocates the infringement or other violation of, any third party rights.

Reservation of Rights

We reserve the right to request that you remove all links or any particular link to our Website. You approve to immediately remove all links to our Website upon request. We also reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions and it’s linking policy at any time. By continuously linking to our Website, you agree to be bound to and follow these linking terms and conditions.

Removal of links from our website

If you find any link on our Website that is offensive for any reason, you are free to contact and inform us any moment. We will consider requests to remove links, but we are not obligated to or so or to respond to you directly.

We do not ensure that the information on USCCC.ORG is correct, we do not warrant its completeness or accuracy; nor do we promise to ensure that our website remains available or that the material on our website is kept up to date.

Registered Users

User accounts can be created for free on the USCCC.ORG without signing up for our services. A user account will give you the opportunity to interact with the user community. All users that create a user account have a public profile that is publicly visible to site visitors, and that their public activity (such as their posts or comments) will be visible to other visitors of our website.

We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms or any applicable law or regulations.

A user of USCCC.ORG can always opt-out and exit the community, and upon doing so, such user’s profile will not be publicly visible. Naturally, in such event the user will not be able to use the community features (e.g. liking, commenting or writing posts).

Forum Posting Policy

Parts of USCCC.ORG offer an opportunity for users to post and exchange opinions and information in certain areas of our website. United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce does not filter, edit, publish, or review Comments prior to their presence on our website. Comments do not reflect the views and opinions of United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce, its agents and/or affiliates. Comments reflect the views and opinions of the person who post their views and opinions. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce shall not be liable for the Comments or for any liability, damages or expenses caused and/or suffered as a result of any use of and/or posting of and/or appearance of the Comments on our website.

All posts, comments and discussions should be:

  1. On topic: Our forum is setup for the purpose of discussing international trade, finance, travel and visa news. Posts on topics of cultural interest are welcome as well. Please feel free to share information about trade and investment opportunities, using appropriate labels when creating posts.  Posts that are determined to be off topic by the advisors or president will be deleted.

  2. Positive and non-discriminatory:  The goal of the USCCC is to promote positive communication.  This forum is not open to disparaging remarks regarding any individual, organization, government, or policies thereof.

United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to monitor all Comments and to remove any Comments which can be considered inappropriate, offensive or causes breach of these Terms and Conditions.

You recognize and agree that by uploading any content (including, but not limited to designs, images, animations, videos, audio files, fonts, logos, illustrations, compositions, artworks, interfaces, text and literary works) through any means to USCCC.ORG, you warrant and represent that:

  • You are entitled to post the Comments on our website and have all necessary licenses and consents to do so;

  • The Comments do not invade any intellectual property right, including without limitation copyright, patent or trademark of any third party.

  • The Comments do not contain any defamatory, libelous, offensive, indecent or otherwise unlawful material which is an invasion of privacy.

  • The Comments will not be used to solicit or promote business or custom or present commercial activities or unlawful activity.

You hereby grant United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, edit and authorize others to use, reproduce and edit any of your Comments in any and all forms, formats or media.

Promotional emails and content

You agree to receive from time-to-time promotional messages and materials from us, by mail, email, or any other contact form you may provide us with (including your phone number for calls or text messages). If you do not want to receive such promotional materials or notices – please notify us at any time.

Right to change and modify Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review these pages periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will notify you that material changes have been made to the Terms. Your continued use of USCCC.ORG or our service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) our website or the service.
