26th Annual Chinese New Year Dinner and

Celebration of the Arrival of the Year of the Water Rabbit

Thursday, February 2nd from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Phoenix Restaurant in Chinatown, Chicago

Happy New Year!  On behalf of the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce (USCCC), we wish you good health, joy, and prosperity in the Year of 2023 and the coming Year of the Water Rabbit.

To celebrate the arrival of The Year of the Water Rabbit, USCCC will host its 26th Annual Chinese New Year Dinner Reception on Thursday, February 2nd from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Restaurant in Chicago’s Chinatown. A traditional Chinese dinner will be served to welcome the Chinese New Year.

The coming Chinese new year, Year of the Water Rabbit or “Gui Mao” Year in the Chinese Stem and Branch System is unusual by itself.  Not only will there be 383 days in the year, but also there will be two Februaries and two springs. Every season gives us cause to celebrate, but spring symbolizes a time of rebirth and growth. The arrival of the Year of the Water Rabbit is particularly fitting as the world is reopening and life is returning to its normalcy.  Water, in the Chinese culture, symbolizes wealth as water is one of the most important resources for life and prosperity.  USCCC is proud to host its 26th Annual Chinese New Year Dinner and sincerely invite you to join us to celebrate this extraordinary occasion.
