Seminar and Cocktail Reception Honoring Ambassador Chase Freeman and Governor George Pataki

U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce and Chadbourne and Parke LLP will co-host a Seminar and Cocktail Reception from 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Chadbourne & Parke LLP, 36th Floor Board Room, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10112.

 
Speaker for this special event is Ambassador Chas W. Freeman, Jr., who will comment on “China – The US: A Changing Investment Environment?” A cocktail reception will immediately follow presentation.  In addition, as Ambassador Freeman has recently completed his latest book “Interesting Times: China, America, and the Shifting Balance of Prestige,” the book will be available for purchase at a discount at the event.  Ambassador Freeman will personalize the books immediately after the presentation. We are grateful that Governor George Pataki will join us on this special occasion, and the Governor will make a special remark and introduce Ambassador Freeman.


Ambassador Chas W. Freeman, Jr. is a career diplomat (retired) who has served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Deputy Chief of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires in the American embassies at both Bangkok and Beijing, Director for Chinese Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. He was also the principal American interpreter during the late President Nixon’s path-breaking visit to China in 1972.  He currently serves on the Advisory Board of China National Offshore Oil Company and is currently Co-Chair of the U.S. China Policy Foundation.
